Meet Your Practitioner;

Debbie Daum, RMT, has been operating her home based clinic in Airdrie Alberta since January, 2018. Her passion for learning about muscular pain relief began with trying to manage her own pain.  Through the experience of seeking consultation from experts in many fields, Debbie realized that any repetitive body position eventually will cause discomfort. This prompted a career/life change and Debbie pursued and completed her diploma in Remedial Massage Therapy at MH Vicars School of Massage Therapy in Calgary, Alberta in 2017.

Central to Debbie’s philosophy as a therapist is the concept of ‘slow and steady’ approach to hypertonic (tight) tissue. In her home practice as a registered Massage Therapist, Debbie uses a creative, multi-modal approach to treat the underlying causes of her clients’ concerns. Debbie incorporates assessment, hands-on treatment and individualized education programs into her therapy practice in order to support her clients to address their specific treatment goals, often integrating elements of movement and exercise, nutrition, and self-care practices.

Debbie has a thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology, orthopedic assessment, and massage techniques, and she is constantly seeking to further her knowledge. She specializes in therapeutic massage which includes relaxation, deep tissue, sports, and pregnancy massage (*Pre/Postnatal).

Meet Max;

Max is our 16 year old, 22 pound Jack Russell Terrier. He used to peacefully sleep in his kennel while I worked with clients, but since 2022, he has been experiencing increased anxiety. He struggles with being confined due to older age, dementia, partial blindness and deafness. If you are uncomfortable around dogs, please let me know before your appointment and I will keep him away from the clinic space for your visit!

The Benefits

Massage, applied adeptly, is very effective therapy for releasing muscle tension and restoring balance to the musculoskeletal system. Received regularly can prevent injuries, and gradual onset conditions, which might otherwise be caused by overuse. A constant build up of tension in the muscles from regular activity may lead to stresses on joints, ligaments, tendons, as well as the muscles themselves.

**Please note. As this is a home based business, currently Debbie is not accepting new male clients, unless they are referrals. If your interested in coming and you are a male, please send a wife, sister, or other female client first! This is due to an unfortunate experience that occurred. Thanks for understanding!
